Can you put me at the top of the search engine listings?

While we have years of marketing and search-engine tweaking knowledge on our side, we cannot promise you that you will be at the top of search engine return pages. Each search engine has different rules on how they "weight" the value of your web site text, meta tags and even your image tags.

But so-and-so says they can put me at the top of the listings. Why can't you?

It's very easy for companies to promise to put you at the top of the search engines, take your money, and then disappear without a trace. Let's just say that the majority of companies guaranteeing you a top listing in search engines are, at best, misinformed about their own capabilities and, at worst, lying to you.
